The SMILE project focuses on the area of "Smart Living Environments" (SLE). On the one hand, SLE uses a variety of different technologies that need to be adapted and coordinated. On the other hand, SLE are basically developed for all people, which is why the user perspective plays an important role.
The usability, ie the user-friendliness and serviceability of software products and web applications, is thus an important quality criterion, which can also be transferred to SLE systems. To this end, m2cLab is developing various workshops with methodologies for the user-centered development of SLE Bricks and SLE services as well as the analysis and investigation of further aspects in the Smart Living context (such as voice control).
